Your Denture Care Guide

Denture Do's

Rinse After Eating

Remove and rinse dentures after eating. Run water over your dentures to remove food debris and other loose particles.

Clean Your Mouth

Use a soft-bristled toothbrush on natural teeth. Clean your tongue, cheeks, gums, and the roof of your mouth with a soft toothbrush or gauze.

Brush Dentures Daily

Gently brush your dentures at least once a day with a soft-bristled brush and nonabrasive denture cleanser.

Soak Overnight

Most dentures need to stay moist to keep their shape. Place them in water or a mild denture-soaking solution overnight. Avoid soaking dentures with a soft liner.

Denture Don'ts

Avoid Abrasive Materials

Don't use stiff-bristled brushes, strong cleansers, or harsh toothpaste, as these can damage dentures.

Avoid Hot Water

Hot or boiling water can warp your dentures. Only use cool or warm water for cleaning and soaking.

Avoid Whitening Products

Products containing bleach can weaken dentures and change their color. Avoid whitening toothpastes, which may be too abrasive.

Don't Try To Repair Them

If your dentures break, chip or lose a tooth, call us. Don't try to repair dentures yourself.

Dental Health Essentials

Follow these guidelines to keep your dentures looking great and fitting comfortably so you can better maintain your overall oral health.

Affordable Dentures & Implants offices are individually owned and operated, not run by a distant corporate headquarters.

In most locations, the office owner is also the practicing dentist you’ll meet during your visit. That means your care decisions are made locally—by a dentist who knows the community, understands your needs, and is directly involved in your treatment.

While each office is independently owned, they’re all connected by shared standards, on-site labs, and a focus on making tooth replacement more affordable and accessible. You get the benefit of local, personalized care backed by the experience and resources of a nationwide network. Learn more about The Affordable Way that connects us.

If you’d like to learn more about a specific location, visiting your local office page can give you insight into the dentist, services offered, and what to expect. And when you’re ready to talk through your options one-on-one, booking an appointment is the best way to get clear, personalized guidance.
