Well, I am in the process of some major reconstruction for my lower molars. I had 4 implants that were put in previously somewhere else, but unfortunately we're not placed properly and there was not enough bone mass to sustain them. So the doctor here sugest that we take them out, put bone grafts and start new. I was not thrilled about the idea, but I had gotten the same opinion by several doctors by the time I made it to this place. So I had 4 implants and 2 molars removed all on my lower jaw. The whole process took about an hour. And so far so good! UPDATE!!!!!: its been a week and 2 days and my left lower molar area is healing well. There's is no pain on the left side. My right side however is not looking so good. The gums have not connected back together and it hurts a lot. Still not able to eat solid food. I went in to the office after 5 days and I was assured that's it looked fine. I called again a few days later and I was told it could take at least 2 weeks to start seeing some healing in that area. I'm not feeling so sure but they are the professionals, and I hope they are right.
