Dr. Bernard S. Okumu, DDS, is a General Dentist at Affordable Dentures & Implants, Odessa, TX. Dr. Okumu brings a surgical, implant-focused approach to patient care, offering solutions for patients with missing teeth, from removable dentures to fixed full arch restorations.
Dr. Okumu earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2019. Earlier training includes a Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2009) and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (2000), both from the University of Nairobi School of Dental Sciences in Kenya. In 2025, Dr. Okumu added advanced training in full arch and overdenture care, including the Zest Masters Full-Arch Certification and Overdenture Fast Track.
Dr. Okumu is a Fellow of Implant Pathway and holds a National Dental Examining Board of Canada certificate, along with other professional certifications. With 26 years in dentistry and more than 300 implants placed, Dr. Okumu is known for extractions and implants, as well as removable dentures, overdentures, fixed secure dentures, and All-on-X full arch restorations.
Dr. Okumu joined the Odessa team in September 2024 and credits the office team, from the front office to the clinical and lab staff, for making every day better. Inspired to become a dentist by an elder sister, Dr. Okumu enjoys watching anime and cheering on Arsenal outside the practice.
