Dr. David Altman, D.M.D., is a dentist at Affordable Dentures and Implants with a background that blends surgical precision, academic ambition, and a genuine passion for patient care. Raised in South Florida, Dr. Altman completed an accelerated combined Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, earning his dental degree in 2010. Driven to sharpen his surgical skills, he was accepted into the prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, graduating in 2012. He fell in love with the Midwest, settled in Springfield, and has been serving patients there for the past fourteen years.

Dr. Altman approaches dentistry as a lifelong learner, a philosophy he has put into practice again and again. Beyond his biology and dental degrees, he earned a Political Science degree from Missouri State University in 2016 and a Master of Business Administration from UMKC in 2021. That commitment to growth means patients benefit from a provider who is always evolving, always curious, and always looking for better ways to deliver care.

Professionally, Dr. Altman is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Springfield Dental Society. His deep community involvement reflects his belief that great dentistry extends beyond the chair and into the relationships built with patients and colleagues alike.

Outside the office, Dr. Altman treasures time with his wife, Suzanne, a dental assistant who shares his passion for the field, and their daughter. The hygienist was wonderful ! The one who did my adjustment, was a little rough. She stuck her gloved hand in my mouth too wide causing a bit of discomfort. Katherine was much more gentle.

This place is awesome. Both of the dentists are amazing people. The front staff is so polite, professional and remember your name. The one lady is very cool. I’m ashamed that I don’t know her name cause she knows mine but she has the koolest hair ever. She has it done up with these little balls and I asked if I could squeeze one. Without hesitation, she said yes and leaned forward. These folks are great and will continue to have my business. I must admit that I had went to their competition close by and was not pleased. And that’s when I found Affordable Dentures. Love these folks

They will take fantastic care of you here! I put off getting my teeth fixed for years because of previous bad experiences with dentists. The care level here is amazing and their team is top notch! Special thanks to Suzanne for doing such a great job on my first adjustment! I got full dentures on top and implants on bottom and had 14 teeth extracted. I was back at work the next day with minimal discomfort and a beautiful smile. Highly recommend this group for denture/implant work!!
