Dr. Nita Hanumanthappa
DMD, MPH, Managing Dentist
Dr. Navaneetha Hanumanthappa, DMD, is a General Dentist at Affordable Dentures & Implants, Monroe, NC. She is known for implants, extractions, and pre-prosthetic surgery, and she is deliberate about patient comfort at every step, particularly for patients who feel anxious about treatment.
Dr. Hanumanthappa's training spans two countries. She earned her dental degree in India in 2004, taught for a year, and completed a periodontal residency there in 2009 before practicing for five years and moving to the United States. She went on to earn her DMD from the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2025, and she also holds a Master of Public Health. Her advanced implant training includes a Mini Implant Residency program through the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and the Implant Pathways Fast Track course.
Dr. Hanumanthappa is a member of the American Dental Association and a lifetime member of the Bangalore Academy of Periodontology in India. She has been placing single tooth implants since 2009, and since October 2025 she has been placing implants for snap-in dentures, drawing on her periodontal surgical training.
With 20 years of international practice and her fourth year in the United States, Dr. Hanumanthappa joined Affordable Dentures & Implants in 2025. Her Master of Public Health keeps her attuned to the barriers her patients face in getting care, an interest rooted in her own childhood dental problems and the reason she chose dentistry in the first place. Outside the practice she reads, bakes with her three children, and follows the Carolina Panthers.
