I had a great experience going to Affordable Dentures and Implants in Sugar Land, Texas. From the very first phone call everything went so smooth and I was able to be seen quickly. Dr. Omeishi is awesome and I immediately felt a sense of comfort being there. Very thankful I contacted them.

I needed an extraction since my tooth was so infected that my gum was swelling around the tooth. This dental staff scheduled an emergency appointment for an exam, they provided me with a dental x-ray. Told me their rules & what to expect. Staff was very nice to me. I came back for the extraction in 2 days. They took me back & told me what to expect. I told the nurse & the dentist that I would like for them to talk to me while they worked extracting my tooth. I told them that I would like do know everything they are doing before they do it & I will be much calmer. They did not understand that I would like to have information like a play by play for a blind person. They started working and were telling me what was happening for awhile. At one point they forgot to continue to tell me what was happening and just occasionally told me, “You are doing fine. I got anxious but I couldn’t say anything because they were working in my mouth. Then they started talking to each other like I was asleep or no longer in the room. When they saw that I was awake they forgot to tell me play by play what they were doing to me and said patronizingly told me, “You are doing fine and you are doing very well. I felt abandoned; but I had the idea that they were doing well by my tooth extraction. I was told what to do with my mouth & what I could eat and take after the procedure. They didn’t tell me that my tooth site & whole mouth would hurt so much that I would be crying if I didn’t take the ibuprofen 800 double dose. I took the Keflex antibiotic as prescribed but needed more. I usually don’t ever take pain medication & antibiotics; but I have given patients both oral & IV meds in the hospital as a nurse of 45 years i was still okay when I first got home but had to use cold on 20 minutes and off 20 minutes & needed my daughter & my grandson to sit and babysit me. It was very hard to get through that first night. I followed the dentist’s rules to the letter. The second day was a little easier. This is not an easy thing to get through. I’m glad that I only had one molar extracted. Thank you for hearing me.
