Dr. Jason Olaivar
DMD, General Dentist
Dr. Jason Olaivar, DMD, is a general dentist based in Gulfport, Mississippi, whose passion for dentistry is matched by his commitment to the communities he serves. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in May 2016.
Dr. Olaivar's approach to dental care centers on meeting patients where they are, whether that means explaining a treatment in plain language, accommodating a patient with dental anxiety, or simply being the kind of provider who makes every visit feel a little less daunting. He is comfortable across a wide spectrum of procedures and is always eager to expand what he can offer his patients.
Clinically, Dr. Olaivar has hands-on experience with extractions, restorative dentistry, cosmetic procedures, implants, and select periodontal surgeries. Before dental school, he also worked as a dental lab technician, giving him a behind-the-scenes understanding of the restorations he places. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Dental Association, and the American Student Dental Association.
Dr. Olaivar's commitment to service extends beyond the operatory. He has participated in mission trips to Lima, Peru and Matamoros, Mexico, providing extractions, pediatric procedures, and restorative care to underserved communities and seeing upward of 20 patients daily. His bilingual fluency in English and Spanish also allows him to connect with and serve a broader range of patients.
