I haven't done the thing yet but went in for a consultation and it was the first time I walked out of a dentist office with an estimate less than $25k. Half my molars have been extracted one by one over the years and the other half are broken all the way down to the root. My top front teeth are broken and cracking and rotting and I don't feel comfortable smiling. I've been living in pain for so long, I can barely sleep at night, barely make it through a shift without having to lay my head on the cold floor for relief. Ive had ongoing pain and problems with my teeth since I was a child, but every time I go to the dentist to beg for mercy, I'm told no and given an estimate upwards of $25,000, literally every single time bc I'm "too young" to have dentures (34 yo now). This place listened to me and I cried driving home yall looking at the $2,500 estimate (after my insurance) that I know will change my quality of life forever. 😭 The technician gave me her honest opinion about a few things such as fit, and the dentist let me tell him what I think and what I was hoping for and I felt he actually considered my words. Ive done probably two of these consultations a year over the last 5/6 years with different dentists and this is the first time I felt hope afterwards. They would make more money pressuring me to root canal every tooth, but that's something I would never be able to afford. I'm so grateful and I look forward to returning ❤️ Update: I did it. Dr Sobhi did such a good job. My long long tooth roots and shattered teeth fought him every step of the way but he checked in to make sure I was okay regularly, and was generous with the numbing juice lol. Easily one of the scariest, most difficult things I've done in my life. Four days into recovery, the swellings going down, and I've smiled more these last few days than I have in my entire life. I'm so grateful ❤️
