Dr. Puneet Kumar
DDS, Managing Dentist
Dr. Puneet Kumar, DDS, is a Prosthodontist at Affordable Dentures & Implants, Sacramento, CA. His passion for dentistry began in childhood after witnessing the profound impact dental care had on his grandmother's health and quality of life, an experience that inspired him to pursue a career focused on helping patients regain their comfort, confidence, and smiles. Today, Dr. Kumar focuses on implant dentistry, prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry, and full-mouth rehabilitation, combining advanced techniques with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Dr. Kumar earned his dental degree from SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital in India before completing a residency in Prosthodontics at JSS Dental College. He went on to serve as an Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate dental students while continuing to refine his clinical skills. Committed to lifelong learning, he has since pursued extensive advanced training in implant dentistry, including further education in the United States at the University of Southern California, and has practiced dentistry in both India and the United States.
Dr. Kumar is a Fellow of the Brånemark Osseointegration Center, a Member of the California Dental Association, and is certified in Oral Sedation, among other professional affiliations and honors reflecting his commitment to advanced, high-quality care.
Outside the office, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with his daughter, running marathons, hiking, and playing soccer and cricket. He also volunteers as a Red Cross Blood Donor Ambassador, reflecting his belief in giving back to the community and helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through exceptional dental care.
