Our practice proudly provides Affordable Dentures® and related denture and tooth extraction services. We are located in Chester, VA, and opened in May 1984. Each year we treat over 9000 denture patients who travel from Chester, Richmond, St. Petersburg and many other communities in the surrounding area.
Steven M. Hedges, DMD is a General Dentist and the Practice Owner of this Chester location. He graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School. Based on many years of valuable dental experience, Dr. Hedges and his staff are proud to offer professional, compassionate care to patients that visit this practice.
Dr. Hedges’s dental center also has an on-site dental lab that fabricates new dentures and provides repairs and relines, often with same day service. Being able to provide dentures in a day is a significant advantage, especially for patients who have traveled far distances. The on-site lab also eliminates the need to use outside commercial labs, therefore helping to keep costs low.
Our lab technicians are highly skilled professionals that have crafted thousands of dentures. Their training and experience is an asset to Dr. Hedges’s practice and gives you the confidence that your denture is being fabricated locally in Virginia.

Payment for service is required in the morning after you see the dentist and a treatment plan is approved based on your clinical needs. This practice accepts: Cash, Check with valid ID, Mastercard, Visa, Discover.

If you have dental insurance through a carrier not accepted at this practice, an appropriate dental walk out statement will be provided so you can file your claim directly with your insurance carrier.

Affordable Dentures fees are so low, the total cost for the services you will receive at this location are likely less than the co-pay you will be required to pay at most other general dentistry practices. The practice staff can help you calculate the costs so you can make the best decision.

Services Times
The following service time guidelines are followed by this practice. Please note that in most cases APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED. However, to receive same day service it will be necessary for you to register in the practice at opening time:
Dentures:
Impressions for Immediates- register before 9:00 am.
Impressions for Replacements- register at 7:45 am
Same-day Economy dentures. It takes 3-5 visits for Custom and Premium dentures. The New Denture Wearer Package is not offered to patients having their extractions done elsewhere.
Extractions:
Immediates: Register before 9:00 am.
Emergency: Register before 10:00 am.
New Denture Wearer Package is not offered to patients having their extractions done elsewhere.
Other Services:
Repair: Register between 7:45 am - 11:00 am.
Reline: Register before 9:00 am.
Consultations: Register between 7:45 am - 11:00 am.
Adjustments: Register between 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
