Most affiliated practices providing AFFORDABLE DENTURES® open Monday through Friday between 7:30 and 8:00 am. Go to the Locations menu button to confirm the opening time of the practice you wish to visit.
Same Day Dentures - Appointments Are Not Necessary
Appointments are not necessary, but if you are interested in receiving SAME DAY SERVICE, you need to register with the front desk staff as close to opening time as possible. Please understand, if you want same day service for dentures you need to be prepared to be available for the dentist and their staff throughout the day. (Please note that some practices do require appointments for same day service for Immediate Dentures.)
Extractions, repairs, and reline services can be provided without an appointment, and often with same day service. For these services you need to register at the front desk at the opening time. Remember, your health condition and certain medications you may be taking will determine whether extractions can be performed the same day. (Please note that a few practices do require appointments for certain of these services. Please contact the practice for complete information.)
Patient History
When you arrive you will be asked to complete a Patient History form so that important medical and dental health information will be available for the dentist and their staff. This will assist the dentist in evaluating an appropriate course of treatment for you.
IMPORTANT: If you are taking prescription medications please bring a list of those medications with you. You will also need to indicate any over-the-counter medications you may be taking regularly such as aspirin. Feel free to call the local practice if you have any questions.
Impressions for Dentures
Denture impressions for same day service are taken first thing in the morning and sent to the lab. The lab can then immediately begin fabricating dentures that will be delivered later that afternoon. Most practices are able to take impressions throughout the day but those dentures will not be able to be delivered the same day.
In order for the practice to operate efficiently and keep their fees affordable, it is necessary to schedule services in this way. YOU MAY NOT BE SEEN IN THE ORDER THAT YOU REGISTER, but the practice staff will do their best to accommodate your denture needs as quickly as possible.
After you have seen the dentist in the morning, the practice staff will inform when you need to be back in the practice to continue the process of receiving same day service. If same day service is not necessary for you, please inform the staff so they can make other arrangements that will be convenient for you.
Tooth Extractions and Other Dental Services
For patients requiring other services such as extractions, repairs, relines and adjustments, you may not be seen until after the denture impressions are complete. Extractions are usually performed late morning, or early afternoon. Repairs and relines are usually started in the morning and adjustments are usually scheduled for late morning.
Delivery of Dentures
The delivery of AFFORDABLE DENTURES® occurs in the afternoon. The staff will indicate when you should return to receive your denture. Again, YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE YOUR DENTURE IN THE ORDER THAT YOU WERE SEEN IN THE MORNING. But please understand that the fabrication of your denture is being done efficiently so we can keep the fees affordable.
If you experience any difficulties with your denture please inform the staff so they can make recommendations about any follow up care you may need.
